Yours truly was assaulted by a tick, and that eight-legged bastard gave me a nasty gift. Can you guess what it was? That’s right! Lyme disease. I didn’t suffer the same consequences as most people, though. A bull’s-eye rash is a common symptom of Lyme disease, however, I didn’t get a rash…because I’m special. Just kidding. Kind of. I’m so special, in fact, that my doctor believed I had a rare form of Leukemia. Lyme disease attacked my knee joint, and also the weird organ (vestibule) which sits somewhere inside our ears. The inner ear vestibule has a very important job which involves giving you a sense of direction and not feeling like you’re walking on the Mayflower. The Mayflower was a ship…just in case you’re wondering. Joint inflammation is a common symptom of Lyme disease, too, and a bright idea sparked inside my doctor’s studious brain. He tested me for Lyme disease, I chowed down on some magic pills, and the rest is history. My symptoms could have developed into a serious condition. I somehow managed to live with Lyme disease for awhile, and a misdiagnoses would have granted the disease more time to wage war against my nervous system. Lucky me. I guess.

Sorry to hear about what happened to you. I’ve heard through people I know of their own family members having the Lyme disease. One of them is paralyzed and two sisters got them at different times. One was from hiking and the other from camping. Really sad because one of them can’t work.

Everyone experiences different symptoms. I was somewhat fortunate. I have been bit by at least a handful of ticks since I had Lyme disease.

Are you fully recovered now?

Personally, I don’t have lingering symptoms. I ate some antibiotics and was able to recover. Luckily.

Well, I’m intrigued and purchased my copy. The moon has been a constant friend. I like that it shines up there at night and doesn’t say a thing. No better friend than that — “Hey, I’ll light up your nights, and I won’t say a thing! No one will know. It’ll be our little secret!” Haha!! Yeah, I like the moon.

The moon can be a gossip, but it’s lonely in space, so I’ll give it a pass.

I don’t want to know what the Moon and Sun are gossiping about! Yikes.

I have PTSD etc after my Lyme experience. I have a very difficult time hearing about it. It was then and still remains; very traumatic, for me.

That’s completely understandable. Everyone experiences different symptoms. Try to remain positive, and never let a damn tick suck away your happiness. Fight back. Keep writing.

I once romanced the moon, and it got kinda cheesy. 😃The nice thing about the moon is that you can’t get ticks when you’re there.

Lyme disease causes a wide range of strange symptoms. I couldn’t cover the whole topic, but it’s an interesting subject.
